Web Prosperity – WebProsperity Not So New?

Here is a forum post about WebProsperity that tried to make some points are why webProsperity is nothing new.

The source for the article is http://www.work-at-home-forum.com/14_11618_0.html and the verbatim post is below.

Below that I will refute what this individual had to write here because I think it’s written for the sake of writing something for attention.  There’s no real point to it, and I’m not really what the point is, but some people like to take the road less travelled with their writings just to appear controversial while adding nothing truly informative or useful.

But don’t let me sway you, sorry…

Just read what he has to say, then please read the refutation/addition to this post..

BEGIN FORUM POST:

I am not a Web Prosperity member. Web Prosperity went viral in the last few days of 2008 and first few days of 2009 and now claims 30K members. That might be impressive if they were paid members, however, they joined for free initially.

In the Fall of last year, Giblink also grew virally and many people not only joined but paid to do so. These two Company’s show the power of the Internet and show how fast word can spread. However, it’s not always a good thing for something to grow so fast.

When I went to look at the Web Prosperity site, I could barely get it to load and I have FIOS. Fast builds like this usually plateau rather quickly because there’s no place left to go once reality sets in. (Coughing up the money and seeing what the “tools” are).

For example, what’s so new about marketing tools for Internet Marketers? I believe Ben Glinsky did it with Pro Builders Plus back in 2006 and more recently Naxum Online Marketing Services has a much better looking website and system with Sponsordaddy and there’s Phone Broadcast Club with a far more effective marketing system.

A number of people who join Web Prosperity have probably never used the tools they offer, for example, autoresponders and ad tracking. Will they use them now? Are ‘tools” going be the answer to greater income? Will you have the time to use them or to even learn how to use them?

One person wrote that they joined Web Prosperity because of who was joining it, big Internet Marketers. Does this mean the program is “good” or that they know from experience that it will do them “good” financially? Not that that is wrong, but should it be the reason to join? Will this somehow get you more sign ups than before?

Words like spillover, “forced” matrix and key placement on my Team are all being used to “incite” people into joining. Should you go ahead and spend your money after you’ve joined for free?

You’ll often find that the very objection that many experts have with something like this, the Company tries to make it sound like an asset; There’s no product to store or ship. Who stores and ships products these days? The Company does, not the distributors. So this is a poor “argument” for joining.

Basically what you have here with Web Prosperity are “information” products or software services. These services are available on the Internet and there are even some “packages” that have a number of these services for one low price. No, Web Prosperity has very little that’s new and what is new may be too difficult or impractical for many people to use.

The bottom line is that WP will require “recruiting” people to earn any income and that makes Web Prosperity just like anything else. Can you do it? Will the tools make it better and cause Web Prosperity to grow bigger than Pro Builder Plus? Well, that just may happen because I don’t think PBP is around anymore.

Tell me, what do you know or think of Web Prosperity?

BEGINNING Refutation…

#1- If people don’t know how to use the marketing tools they need to conduct business online, then that’s their problem. There was a time when I was clueless about autoresponders, hosting, blogging, membership sites, and so…
But if I was going to conduct the type of business online that I desired, I needed to use those tools, right?

So I did, and I psopered, but I had to learn how to use them in order to do business.

So when I see this (copied) forum thread above, I just don’t understand why he said that people may be joining WebProsperity but getting access to marketing tools they probably don’t know how to use.

According to this way of illogical thinking, a person who doesn’t know how to usemarketing tools should NOT sign up to webProsperity to learn how to use them AND save money on the combined costs of using multiple marketing tools like autoresponders, audio recording and creation software, and telesminar functionailities.

What are these marketing tools ignoramuses (or is it ignoramiii?) supposed to do. Buy sperate tools for each marketing tool they decide to use until they actually learn how to use them, then move on to getting another tool, and another tool? By the time they’re done with this, they’ll be paying more for using 3 seprate marketing tools that they woul dif they simpl yused them all with WebProsperity.

Learning how to use marketing tools will increase your income.
Learning how to be a marketer will be the next step.
Saving money by using professional marketing tools in a way that saves you money is good business.

This writer who wrote the forum thread above also mentioned GibLink and how its launch went.

GibLink went well and did well, but there are always going to be disappointed people when there’s a big launch, so someone at the bottom has to be unhappy with it.

However, that’s really not the point. With the advent of Web 2.0 style sites, and social networking, maybe GibLink is starting to fade, who knows, I never joined.

But why would WebProsperity fade? What would cause people to quit a program that saves them money on tools they need to use anyways.

Can anyone give me a good answer to this? The only people I see quitting this program are the ones who are already shelling out money for marketing expenses like hosting, autoresponders, membership sites paid forums (lol) and more. Those are the people who are trying to see if WebProsperity will produce some sort fo income that will make being involve din it worth while to them.

Forget those people for a minute…

The autho rof that thread above mentioned a plateau, and he is right. When webProsperity getd 30k Free member sin a week, a whole bunch of those people will quit once they realize that someone needs to spend some money, somewhere, in order for them to earn an income.

When the time comes to pay up…when the rubber hits the road….all the tire-kicking freebie-seekers will leave, and you’ll be “stuck “with just the real producers in your program. My point here is that of the 30k people who joined, many will quit when pay day comes, but WebProsperity won’t plateau. In the future it may not grow as fast as it has in the past week, but it will recieve a steady stream of visitors because there’s thousands of people looking to start online businesses with each new day that arrives, and this is something they can start using for their primary business right away.
